Robert Johnson in action

Robert Arthur Johnson has been a member of California Bar since 1991. He is admitted before all state courts in California, including the Superior Courts, Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court. Mr. Johnson also is admitted in the Southern, Central and Northern California Districts of United States District Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Johnson has held the highest rating of "AV" with Martindale Hubbell since 1998.

Mr. Johnson has had his own law firm in Dana Point and San Clemente since May of 2006. He concentrates in business litigation, intellectual property litigation and real estate litigation. In addition, Mr. Johnson drafts contracts and provides legal advice in the areas of commercial goods, employment, construction, real estate and licensing of intellectual property, and he applies for copyrights and trademarks. Mr. Johnson serves as primary counsel for many companies where he handles most all of their legal needs.

Representative clients of Robert Johnson Law Corporation include: Agit Global, a Taiwanese manufacturer of Wave Storm surf boards, Sno Storm snow sleds and other foam products; Aestheticare Surgery Centers, one of the largest plastic surgery centers in Southern California; Blackstar Media Group, a global internet marketing company that delivers email advertisements for Fortune 500 companies; Hard Tail, a manufacturer of yoga clothing sold at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus; Somerton Home Furnishings, a Chinese based manufacturer of bedroom and dining furniture; Source One Medical, formerly one of the largest wheelchair companies in the US with offices in ten states; and Sterling Plumbing, one of the largest plumbing contractors in Southern California.


Prior to opening his own law firm, Mr. Johnson was a shareholder and head of the litigation department of a 15 lawyer law firm in Irvine. At that firm, Mr. Johnson represented many well known companies in the clothing and action sports wear field, including Billabong, Element, Ezekiel, Gotcha, Lost, Old Guys Rule, Snow Valley Ski Resort, Snowmass and Von Zipper. Mr. Johnson started his career in 1991 as an associate attorney with what was then the law firm with the largest number of lawyers in California and which is the twenty second largest law firm in the United States today.

Mr. Johnson graduated in the top ten percent of his class from the University of Iowa College of Law, the country's twenty sixth best law school according to US News and World Report. He was an editor on a law review, as well as a published author, and the faculty of the law college elected Mr. Johnson for inclusion in the prestigious Order of the Coif honor society. Mr. Johnson obtained his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa by graduating in the top ten percent of his class.
